WESTVILLE - TOP PERFORMING SUBURB FOR 2018/2019

Category Residential Property News

At Wakefields' recent Achiever Awards, Westville took top honours for the top-performing branch, with a noteworthy 50 percent increase in year on year sales.

Myles Wakefield is branch manager for Westville, and he didn't hesitate when asked how and why the suburb pipped others to the post: "First and foremost, it's down to the quality of the Westville team. Right from Bonita Swartz at reception, every one of the 19 sales and two letting consultants, through to our Assistant Manager Tony Hickman, everybody loves what they do...and it shows. They're really passionate about selling houses, and they're all committed to doing it the right way."

The sales team is a strong, vibrant mix of experienced consultants who've been with the brand and the branch for many years, together with a new wave of enthusiastic agents who've fitted perfectly into the team and the positive office culture. "There's a really good vibe in the office," says Myles, "and we constantly encourage interaction, assistance and support of each other. It's a team in every sense of the word."

One of the hallmarks of the Westville branch, is their determination to put themselves in the shoes of their buyers and sellers: "We are always asking ourselves how we can make our clients feel better. We set out to make every experience, every transaction, every interaction between us and our clients, as smooth, enjoyable and great as we possibly can," says Myles.

Wakefields has been part of the Westville community for many, many years, and many of the team grew up, were schooled, and live in the suburb. They know it well: "We feel we have a responsibility to the Westville community, to do a great job. We're respected here as a long-standing brand which does things to the best of our ability, in the best way possible, so we work hard to maintain that reputation."

For Myles and his team, winning best branch is a wonderful accolade, but even more important than that, he says, "As a team, we put a great deal of energy into finding ways to do things better. Winning top branch means we now need to examine what we did right, and what more we can do to further improve the experience for our clients."
