FOCUS ON SINDI ZUNGU

Category Residential Property News

Sales consultant Sindi Zungu, new Diamond Achiever at Wakefields, talks about her property work in the Khayelihle office.

Sindi Zungu began her property career at Wakefields in Pinetown. That was in 2002. Today, she's an experienced agent, working in the Khayelihle office. Sindi's very clear about why she chose to work in property: "It's as if I own my own business. That's what I wanted. I tell myself what I want to earn, and it's entirely up to me whether I achieve that or not. You put in the effort, you reap the reward. Just like owning your own business."

Last week, Sindi stepped up to the podium to receive her Wakefield's Diamond Achiever Award. That's hard work for you, and she's reaped the rewards financially. The Diamond Achiever status is awarded only to an elite group of Wakefields property consultants whose performance over an extended period reflects unsurpassed excellence and consistently high standards of real estate professionalism.

Sindi works largely in Umlazi, Lovu, Isipingo and Adams Mission. She loves working in those areas because she knows so many people, and that means she gets referrals and mandates. She also enjoys educating the community on how property is bought and sold: "Property transactions in these areas are often more complicated, and take far longer, than in the standard residential areas. I spend a great deal of time sharing information with people who have limited ideas of how property transactions work."

Sindi says it can be tough selling there, but working in property for this length of time, she knows how to keep herself motivated: "I really like people, so I want them to succeed - to have the home they want. That in itself is motivating!"
